Precious Metal Clay (PMC) is a clay-like material that is made up of millions of tiny pure silver particles, a non-toxic binder and some water.
PMC can be shaped, moulded and sculpted just like standard modelling clay. When it is dry, it is placed in a kiln or heated with a cooks torch, The firing process burns away the binders and the silver particles fuse together to produce an item that is solid pure silver (99.9%). It can be hallmarked just like any other precious metal.

If you have seen fingerprint jewellery then, more that likely, you have seen an item that has been made using Precious Metal Clay.
I offer a number of courses in the West Berkshire area that are suitable for beginners . My courses focus on the fun element of this material and I endeavour to deliver a workshop that is relaxed and pleasurable. I will show you all the basic skills required to work with this material and give you the confidence to make some of your own beautiful unique pieces of jewellery.

Please contact me if you have any questions or visit my Workshop Diary page for more details.
